Renting Through TG – what you can expect

Dear Andrew,

We are recent tenants at Vicus Apartments in Manchester, having found this property through Thornley Groves.

We would like to pass on our appreciation of Amy Connelly, with whom we have recently dealt with. Amy has been very helpful throughout the process, maintaining regular contact when viewing properties, and subsequent to placing an offer. She is also very knowledgeable, capable of answering an array of queries in respect of the letting process, the property, and the city. Having only recently moved to Manchester, this proved invaluable.

Amy’s attitude to her clients is noteworthy. Given the motivation, Our experience of estate agents to date has been tainted by their transparent desire to ‘clinch’ a deal. Presumably, this is a motivation for all of your staff, however, we felt that the advice given by Amy was honest and sound, and also that the properties selected for our viewing were representative of our stated preferences.

We will have no hesitation in recommending Amy, and Thornley Groves to our colleagues, friends, and family. She is an asset to your business and we would be grateful if you would pass on our gratitude.

Kind regards

Ben and Zoe

Calling all Landlords !

Thornley Groves Let 1508 homes in 2008 – that’s 30 tenants moving in every week of the year and so far this year we’re already beating that average!
With one of the slickest Letting and Management operations around we receive praise from landlords and tenants every week complimenting us on the speed with which we find a tenant and move the tenant in, minimising void periods for landlords and allowing tenants to move in exactly when it suits them – any day 7 days a week !
We are however becoming a victim of our own success, the shortage of new build completions especially in the City Centre but also in South Manchester means that we are running short of stock and are finding it difficult to satisfy demand for well presented conveniently located homes especially furnished ones that are ready to move in.
If you have a property that’s vacant or about to become vacant contact your nearest Thornley Groves office now – we’ll match your property to one of our high quality tenants in record time and deliver the return on your property investment that you deserve!  We have over 700 tenants registered actively looking for a home to rent today!
Call NOW on 0161 942 4141 to arrange a FREE consultation for your City Centre or South Manchester Rental Property or click here http://www.thornleygroves.co.uk/valuation-request/

Spotlight on Altrincham

Altrincham is a well known and popular town lying just 8 miles south of Manchester city centre, the towns charter status dates back to 1290. The oldest surviving part of the town is that around the Old Market Place and Church Street (on the A56). It was here that Bonnie Prince Charlie’s troops were allegedly billeted in 1745. The town became part of Trafford Metropolitan Borough council in 1974 although the postal address is still Altrincham Cheshire. Altrincham today is a residential, retail and office town offering supplies and services for the surrounding townships of Hale, Hale Barns, Bowdon, Oldfield Brow, Broadheath and Timperley, and is a commuter town of some character connected by Metrolink fast tram service to Manchester. The two modern Altrincham Grammar Schools also have an excellent academic record, the Girls opening in 1910 and the Boys in 1912.

The area has become popular because of its diverse mix of state and private schooling of excellent repute. Extensive leisure and recreational facilities and a superb range of shopping. Commuters can gain easy access to the regions extensive motorway network and for the international traveller Manchester airport is just 10 minutes from the town centre however its geographical orientation means that the town does not lie on the flight path.
