The lengths we go to make that Sale !

In this case we went to the other side of the Globe to Australia!

A recently completed sale on Brooklands Road in Sale just wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for the persistence and determination of our Senior negotiator Carolyne Nicol and Operations Director Jason Watkin.

The sale was extremely protracted for a myriad of reasons and certain, shall we say professionals involved, were less than helpful when extra effort was required. However, numerous calls and emails made by our colleagues at eleven and twelve o’clock at night to Australia, followed by similar communication at six o’clock in the morning eventually led to a successful exchange of contracts and completion!

The market maybe the toughest we’ve seen but with the grit and determination of the Thornley Groves team we can and do make things happen!

Our Very Own Property Cycle

The branded bicycles, brought in to help reduce the company’s carbon footprint as well as saving precious time and money in a challenging market, will be available for staff at three city centre branches from this week.

Managing Director, Michael Groves, said: “The idea behind the bikes is to encourage the fun, energetic and ‘can do’ culture we have in our company as well as saving a little time and money. In today’s market, all businesses are cutting back and I think this is a unique way of doing it whilst enhancing our service.”

Thornley Groves let 1,508 homes in 2008 and conducted over 15,000 viewings with prospective buyers and tenants throughout the year. Groves added: “We are open 7 days a week and until 8pm on weekdays so traffic and parking issues add considerably to the time it takes to conduct viewings. The ‘Property Cycles’, as we’ve called them, will improve our efficiency at the same time as reducing our impact on the environment”.

“In Manchester, the volume of property sales we’ve agreed is already 15% higher than the same period last year, reflecting vendors’ more realistic expectations and affordable mortgage rates. In addition, our rentals business is up 18% as city living continues to become more popular.”

The Thornley Groves Property Cycles have joined an existing fleet of branded low emission VW Polo’s so employees can choose their methestate-agent-viewing-bikeod of transport depending on the weather.
